Part A
Business runs in the blood of young Indians and there is a tremendous amount of potential which remains under-utilised in the youth of the country. A matter back in the 2006, when me along with my parents where in a hot search for a business opportunity that was stable. Previous to that we had a high risky business of metal which eventually crashed. It became a huge problem to locate the right opportunities in the market because at a point of time financial issues tended to creep in. Capital intensive industry was an issue and we really couldn’t afford to take risk. After exploring various opportunities, we came across this product called UltraTech cement which were looking to expand in the regions of West Bengal and Jharkand. We found the opportunities extremely lucrative and decided to approach the company for the respective dealership. The company offered us the opportunity and it was a huge success. The distributorship with Aditya Birla Group gave us stable cash flows which reduced the risk of business. As a result we were able to add risky sectors in out domain, and high risks meant high returns. As a result, due to the presence of a stable business segment we were able to grow at an exponential rate that really helped us at that point when liquidity was a problem. The products sold really well owing to the goodwill of the brand. Customers really trusted the product and sales were high during all business cycles. This is a way wherein Aditya Birla group really helped to sustain at a time when there was a dire need.
Part B:
A challenge turns into an opportunity
The children in India have one word in their mind when it comes to ambition. Cricket! One of those people, I wanted to be a cricketer too. I wanted to step in the middle and make a difference for my country. With studies it always became a problem and convincing Indian parents is a task at hand because the the general population in India when it comes to the middle age group, they are extremely risk averse. People hate loses more than they like gains. As a result not everybody gets a chance to pursue their passion. I was given various compliments by my coaches which motivated me even more to play the game for my country. I was definitely good at it because this is something I liked doing the most. I needed a year break to prove I could make a difference. After trying very hard to convince my parents, I was handed over the responsibility to myself and asked to leave the home for a year. Against my heart but with a strong will and determination and a strong mindset I decided to leave and make a difference. It was the hard work of a year, with a lot of temperament and patience I had got call from Australian Premier League, one of the premier leagues getting selected into which was very difficult and only few people from the state could make it. With tears in the eye, I showed the selection mail to my family which restored the trust and I was welcomed back with a huge celebration.
