Why Aditya Birla Group is big in my life?
Anything that is cosmic, colossal, great or imperative can be termed as
‘Persistent’. Aditya Birla Group, a US $44.3 billion conglomerate established in 1857, have proved itself to be ‘persistent’ and significant over all these years through integrity, seamlessness, commitment, passion and ethical business practices. We have been touched by ABG in almost every part of life and time and again the corporation has made its massive presence felt. Today ABG is everywhere, be it in manufacturing, fashion, innovation, community or finance and just like in millions out there it plays a significant role in my life too.
Aditya Birla group is the bread and butter of my life from the dresses I wear to the very house I live in. I am fortunate enough to be a part of ABG since 2001 with cement business in Grasim industries ltd as an exclusive channel partner namely “Balajee Enterprises”, Bhubaneswar. ABG not only supported my family in terms of financial growth, but it has also guided and educated me & my family to grow professionally in a fair way. Fortunately, my dad got an opportunity to meet some of the pioneers of the group namely Dr.Shantrupta Mishra (ABG HR Head) and Mr. D. Shivkumar (Planning & strategy head) which inspired me to become a management professional. ABG has a vision of long term association with their channel partners, by organizing management training programs and various award functions held in and outside India. I have personally experienced all of these and got the opportunity to polish my leadership and social skills, which ultimately helped me to secure admission in my dream business school- Indian Institute of Foreign Trade(IIFT).
Challenge is the pathway to engagement and progress in our lives. But not all challenges are created equal. Some challenges make us feel alive, engaged, connected, and fulfilled. Others simply overwhelm us. Knowing the difference as you set bigger and bolder challenges for yourself is critical to your sanity, success, and satisfaction. The above-mentioned lines by Brendon Burchard perfectly depict what I am going to narrate.
One of the biggest challenges I went through was, I had was to study while Handling my business at the same time so that I may clear entrance exams for higher studies. Handling a full-time job and your studies at the same time require a good level of planning and prioritization. I never compromised on the commitments I made and the role I had taken up. Despite my arduous and increased responsibilities which gave me less time to study, I worked very hard and relentlessly towards achieving the goal I had. Consequently, I succeeded in getting into one of the best business schools of India- As I write this article, I am proud to say that I am an enrolled student of the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, the batch of 2019-21.
