This will go on forever if I keep on mentioning all that comes under the Aditya Birla Group, just like it’s legacy. ABG is not just an organization, it is something that keeps the organizations under one Umbrella.
Challenges and experience teach you lessons for life.
During my tenure as the chairman of the college senate, I had to face a big challenge in front of me. The college management had taken strict disciplinary action against a few of the students which would have cost them their career. The students went on an indefinite strike and urged to boycott classes until the action had been nullified. Yes, the students had made a mistake and it was something serious which needed to be addressed. At the same time, finishing the matter then and there was not a solution to the problem. Like everyone else, they needed a second chance. I, as the elected representative of the students in the college, had to settle the issue on behalf of the students. At the same time, I had to work along with the college management and ensure that such issues will not occur again. Several meetings were held, conditions laid, PTA body addressed, and the problems were finally sorted out.
The important lessons that I got to learn were-
You have to think both practically and ethically, give lesser importance to your personal interests and opinion when you are holding a position and is entrusted with certain responsibilities. It is this sense of responsibility why you were chosen in the first place. With proper communication and respects given in every regard with a positive and practical attitude can yield solutions to almost every problem. I mean it – Almost all the problems can be solved by addressing it in the right time, at the right place, by the right means.
