Just a casual weekend where my family had a sudden plan for an outing, all credits to my mom because she feels we don’t get much family time in this busy life that everyone has got into, and also the fact that she wanted to flaunt her new Liva natural fluid fashion dress. I always feel that the latter is much of a bigger reason for her. My dad is no less when it comes to looking uptight, always putting in the extra effort just to beat my mom. He is always in a fix just standing motionless in front of his wardrobe, staring at the huge piles of dressing collections he possesses. He is in a dilemma weather he has to go for the Peter England formal look, or sport the Allen Solly, Wimbledon collection. I knew it would take at least an hour for him to be done with the clothing session, and luckily he does not put up so much pressure into his footwear because he just sticks to his lovely Van Heusen kicks. Me on the other hand was just strolling into my room to get into my favourite Louis Philippe, because there’s no way else for me to pull off a gentleman’s look. I see my sister still browsing and switching through the Forever 21 and Planet Fashion websites for sales and new collection, I could guess that without even having to see her phone. My mom on the other hand yelling that it is getting late, while packing all the food we need in Freshpakk containers, I could even smell the delicious aloo paratha that she was wrapping with Freshwrapp aluminium foils. These foils trigger the nostalgic memories as crumbling them and using them to play football was the only sports we had.. I was never a leader, I couldn’t take in charge, I was always lost in void with only myself, nobody was really like my best buddy, I couldn’t fit in ,in simple terms I was the unspoken. It was not the skill that I lacked of not leading but it was the aspect of me having a carefree attitude and not caring about anything. I was always thinking that all people around me didn’t really matter to me and used to undermine everyone. It was the time were I didn’t know the real meaning of teamwork, group effort or anything related to co-dependency. I would not give respect to any individual and see them all as under me. Then there was this time when I joined engineering with the same carefree attitude, where I thought I didn’t need anyone’s help. Just when I thought I would be able to pull this off too without anyone, there was the fall of so many tasks and assignments and records that fell on my head, I tried level best to stay on track but it was just too much too handle. I even take my work seriously, so I would never want to miss anything to do or ignore any task. I just felt for the first time that I needed someone but I still didn’t care and kept working on my own and was also wearing off mentally and physically, it was too much work and pressure and past my threshold. I was even late for an important assignment, just when I was about to give up, he comes to save me, he who is presently my best buddy. He comes forward and says,” don’t worry I already submitted my assignment with your name on it”, I couldn’t believe what I heard. Kept thinking how could anyone do something for me when I didn’t even try getting to know his name. This was the time I understood what team spirit mattered what how we humans together could help one another. That was the day when I stopped undermining everyone and started getting to know everyone and started helping them too. Something I realized was, to get to a place fast you can walk alone but to get to a place far you have to walk together. So me having big dreams will only be attained if I maintain good relations. It was almost like an enlightenment where it changed my life’s view entirely. My cold heart was finally molten to understand what there was more to life From that day onward I knew the value of public relations and how people are dependent on one another. A great success story which is our life is like a conglomerate, it’s a thing which is made of different and distinct stories of others that are grouped together.
