How did you prepare for TISSNET? According to you, what is the most important aspect of preparation?
Genuine Interest in the course along with that consistency in preparation is the most important aspect of preparation.
How many full-length mock tests did you take? What was your approach while taking mocks?
Since I was a working professional, I didn't have the luxury to attempt a full length mock, however, I used to attempt sectional tests of 10-30 min duration. I always targeted to finish my sectional tests within 90% of the allotted time. I would recommend others to attempt full length mock if their schedule permits, as it will help in managing time during D-day
Which section was your Achilles heel? How did you overcome that?
I am an avid follower of news and current happenings hence I stayed abreast with all the latest events. I tried to attempt sectional tests as and when I get time from my work schedule. I customized my strategy as per my need and my work requirements.
Do's:
1) Develop a genuine interest in course you are applying for and be consistent with your preparation. .
2) Charting your own strategy based on your strength, weakness and other responsibilities and following the devised strategy religiously.
Don't:
1) Don't apply for the courses if you don't have an interest or inclination for them.
2) Don't pile up your preparation for the last month or last few days.
What according to you are 2 DO's and 2 DON'Ts of TISSNET preparation?

How did you prepare for TISSNET? According to you, what is the most important aspect of preparation?
I was an MBA aspirant. For that reason, my LR, DI, English & Quant were already taken care of. GK was the make or break section.
Note-
1. For English- Focus well on Vocabulary. Many questions are handy with good vocabulary itself.
2. Many questions (for example pattern filling, series completion) which aren't there in CAT, will be there in TISSNET and in plenty. Practice them well.
3. For current GK- Read the newspaper daily. Revise using monthly and finally, yearly compilations.
4. For Static GK- Don't go too much in depth if you can't. Rather, have a larger span covered.
5. Use technology well, audio notes, youtube videos etc.
1. Listened to daily news since reading was tiresome.
2. Revised it from a monthly compilation (major highlights every month).
3. Revised it yet again from a yearly compilation (major events of the year).
4. Used different mnemonics and hacks for retaining it all.
5. Believed in myself :)
How much time did you devote to preparation on a regular basis?
Whenever I used to find some time away from my hectic job.
What according to you are 2 DO's and 2 DON'Ts of TISSNET preparation?
DO-
Consistency, Consistency, Consistency
DON'T-
Anything that makes you feel like you can't do it.

What would be your final advice to TISSNET 2021 Aspirants?
Believe in yourself. Enjoy the process. Don't give up.
On D-day, stay calm.
Devote initial 10-15 minutes on GK (either you know an answer or you don't). Then, try to maximize your score in non-GK

You should focus on giving as many mocks as possible and analysing them. Staying Calm during exam helps.

How did you prepare for TISSNET? According to you, what is the most important aspect of preparation?
My preparation for the NET exam helped me to prepare for TISSNET to quite an extent as both exams have a common paper that covers GK, general subjects paper. Apart from that YouTube videos supplemented my preparation.
How many full-length mock tests did you take? What was your approach while taking mocks?
I took CAT mocks thrice every day, as I essentially needed to gather speed for dealing with maths and DI.
How much time did you devote to preparation on a regular basis?
At least 6 hours
What according to you are 2 DO's and 2 DON'Ts of TISSNET preparation?
- GK and general subjects cannot be prepared last minute. Study them every day even if you miss prepping other subjects as that bit is vast and not easy to retain. It also requires revision.
-If you are targetting TISS then start preparing for PI from day one again, don't wait for results as half the current events would have passed. This will help you in GK and general section also.
-Read at least two newspapers every day, it will help you in increasing your reading speed and improves vocabulary. English section in TISS is not as complex as CAT and does not have the constraint of time. You can always go back and forth with the sections
-Be smart, know your strengths and weaknesses. Leverage your strengths and work on your weaknesses only to an extent.
What would be your final advice to TISSNET 2021 Aspirants?
Be positive and have the mindset of a marathon runner ie be steady and achieve your goals and most importantly don't forget to have a social life.

How did you prepare for TISSNET? According to you, what is the most important aspect of preparation?
1. I started with preparing a list of broad topics to be covered.
2. I used to regularly read newspapers, online pdf's. I also watched videos wherever needed.
3. I was regularly keeping a track of current affairs and constantly reflecting on what can be the related topics important for me to know.
4. For non-GK sections, I practised basic to moderate level quants and verbal from other MBA entrance books.
While taking mocks-
complete GK first (in 15 mins), than verbal and finally target your weaker section (for me, it was quants)
How much time did you devote to preparation on a regular basis?
Since I was not working and focusing on this entrance only, I was able to devote a lot of time to my prep.

4. Think what can be relevant for me to know from current affairs perspective
5. Give a few mocks to understand the time you spend on different sections

1. Don't refer to too many sources
2. Avoid covering a lot of topics towards the end rather focus on revision
What would be your final advice to TISSNET 2021 Aspirants?
Treat this as an important day in your life and not the most important. Believe in your preparation
For GK, I picked one of the best-sellers (Facts and figures about Indian history, culture, economy, political science). For current affairs, I mostly read newspapers - either Hindu/Indian Express for general and Mint/ET for business news. Noted down anything major related to social issues, key legislations, business deals. Also checked out HRM & LR ARC's Quiztopia. For the quantitative part, I did the beginner level questions for Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation from CAT books. I was preparing only for TISS, so this is what I did, I just made sure I practised every day.
There is no standard key to crack TISSNET. The most important part of preparation is regular preparation and giving yourself a reality check every now and then to assess your strengths and weaknesses. Make sure you work on your weak areas and master your strengths. That's all.

Just the previous years' papers. Used it to understand which are my weak areas and where I need to focus more.
Which section was your Achilles heel? How did you overcome that?
Quantitative aptitude. I had to practice solving sums everyday to get a hang of it - focussed on understanding the concepts and mastering the beginner level problems.

DO's
1. Be regular in your preparation.
2. Play on your strengths.

1. Don't overwhelm yourself by seeking advice from too many sources.
