After all the hardships and turmoil I could finally take a sigh of relief when I converted one of the most coveted and unique colleges of its kind, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade.
It has been almost 15 days and nevertheless to say, every day at the institute has been an eventful day. The institute stands tall for its name and fame it has gathered all these years. The course structure, faculties, the infrastructure and the students have all helped in keeping up the academic rigor intact.
Our batch is one crazy lot and an amalgamation from all parts of the country consisting of artists, dancers, researchers, sports enthusiasts, public speakers. In just a few days we have been through highs and lows but the energy of the entire batch is worth appreciating. That’s what IIFT is best known throughout the world.
Recently, we had a marketing event which was followed by a cultural event. The marketing event was showcased with such brilliant and out of the box ideas leaving all of us spellbound. I was amused at the kind of participation and enthusiasm that was reflected by all of us. Our first event on campus, the marketing event not only brought a platform of interaction with the batch but it also gave us a platform where we worked as a team. After long hours of brainstorming we came up with numerous products, services and unique ideas and pitched our seniors. Within no time we could see versatile marketeers evolving amongst us. The cultural event further added to the amusement. I could feel the versatility of the entire batch with the kind of performances they put on stage. We had singers, dancers, mime artists, instrumentalists, a perfect mix of multitude of talents.
All in all, my journey so far in this prestigious institute has been a rollercoaster. I hope to continue with this rigor awaiting for new experiences in days to come.

Which ABG company you want to work for and why?
I would like to work in the field of Marketing and Operations. I would love to work in an environment that integrates both these concepts. Among the ABG companies, I am more inclined towards Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited. ABFRL being one of India’s leading Fashion lifestyle entity, the company has been growing by leaps and bounds with 18% over the last year. Retail industry is the area where I am interested to work. I have had prior experience with a retail client in area of supply chain and store operations. This opportunity would not only help me develop my skills further but also I would be able to contribute what I have learned over the years.
