Pradnya Munghate is a first-year student of NITIE Mumbai. She is full of life, full of dreams and full of drama. She believes in living life with no regrets. What was high school like for you? How did it contribute to your personality/ the person you are right now? High school for me was the most crucial learning experience for me. I started off as a nerd but towards the end of school, thanks to some teachers, I became a lot more open as a person and used to love participating in dramas, debates and other extracurriculars.   If money was no object, what would you do all day? I would deep dive in the world of music and would never want to come back to the real world.   What advice would you give to a 5-year-younger you? Open up. Talk your heart out no matter what. Life will be a lot simpler.   How do you think women are better equipped to deal with problems as compared to men? Women are mentally a lot more stronger. They have a lot more strength to under emotional stress. They are also a lot more considerate and calm.   Many IIMs and other b-schools award extra points for being a woman. What is your take on that? Do you propagate the concept OR Have you faced any backlash for the same? I think certain b-schools must have an extra credit for being a woman. That is because women need encouragement to enter certain fields which are conventionally considered to be male-centric.   Name one incident that you encountered where someone told you, you couldn’t do something because you’re a woman. Many incidences which involved physical strength. It is true that women may not be as strong as men, but at the same time, it's something that doesn't need to be told out loud over and over again.   If you are out on a date, do you prefer to pay yourself? If you insisted that you want to pay for yourself, how did the other person react? I definitely wouldn't mind paying myself. I have, infact. The other person resisted at first but then I told him I am because I can too. And yes, that did change the other person's outlook.
