On Udaipur And IIM Udaipur

IIM Udaipur, a place away from the hustle and bustle of the city but surrounded by the beautiful range of Aravalli mountains. There is no beautiful scenery than a morning view from any hostel window of IIM Udaipur. The unique thing about our campus has is the location that it has got. Udaipur is known for its history, culture and scenic locations all over the country. It is also referred as ‘City of Lakes’ and ‘Eastern Venice’. We have our campus in a very peaceful part of the city between the hills of Aravalli.

Udaipur has got many attractions like lakes, palaces, etc. where students can be seen on the evenings of weekends. The good thing about these places is that they are not very far from our campus so one can easily explore all these places. For a nature lover, the place is paradise. There are three very beautiful lakes near to our campus in Udaipur. They are Fateh Sagar Lake, Lake Pichola and Badi Lake. Often people visit these places to experience the beautiful sunsets between the mountains, relax themselves from their busy schedules or just to have a fun time with their friends. For foodies, Udaipur has a lot to give. The place is famous for its Rajasthani cuisine. Rooftop restaurants by the side of Pichola Lake give a totally different experience which any other place can’t give. Also, the series of food stalls by the side of Fateh Sagar Lake is no less than the Mumbai Chowpatty. Youngsters, families, couples, everyone can be seen there in the night enjoying fast foods sitting on the boundary of the Lake. The place gets so lively after the sunset and stays like that till 1 or 2 a.m. in the morning. For the people who love hiking and trekking, there are many places to go in Udaipur. It is because of this amazing location we have a biking and trekking group in our college that regularly organizes treks and tours in and around the city.

Apart from the places which are outside of the campus, our campus itself is an amazing place. The hostels have a view of distant beautiful hills and when it rains, the beauty increases exponentially. Students in the evening and after dinner usually go on long walks behind the hostels on the hills. Sometimes, students can also be seen reading there in the evening with a wonderful view in front of them.

The Aditya Birla Group Company that I would like to work for would be ‘Allen Solly’ of the Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited. The reason for this is that I am interested in apparel industry of India and Allen Solly is a brand which has a very reputed image among the Indian customers. With that, the products are reliable and also of great quality. It is a brand that is increasing its brand value each day in the minds of Indian youth and working professionals. I would like to work with such company that is growing and comes with a reputed image.
