As we witness the winding down of a devastating pandemic in the past two years that drastically changed the dynamics of everyday life with lockdowns, social separations, and work-from-home, a question now arises - will the end of the pandemic set back the time machine to the pre-COVID way of working, or is there no going back?
We are currently observing discrete trends in styles of working ranging from working from home to working from the office to a hybrid arrangement across organizations.
While it took time for people to accustom to the new working-from-home situations, it has resulted in a diaspora of feelings among the employees where some enjoyed spending quality time with their families and the commute time saving - thanks to working from home. In contrast, others missed the high-quality personal interactions with their work buddies in the office.
With the world still reeling from the impact of COVID-19, the effect it has on the corporate world is ever-lasting. The companies are trying to identify and enforce the best possible solutions to overcome challenges such as Moonlighting, Gig Economy, Great Resignation, Capability Modelling, Quiet Quitting, etc. During this significant transition in the work culture of the corporate environment, the Vinod Gupta School of Management, IIT Kharagpur is hosting the third edition of Vaachna - the HR conclave on the lush green campus of IIT Kharagpur. The conclave which aims to bring together some of the most exceptional HR leaders and corporate stalwarts will have an erudite discussion around the timely theme “Navigating Tomorrow: ReDesigning the Future of Work".
The event which is all set to go live on October 29, 2022, aims to address the problems that the modern corporate world faces and to point out the future directions in which organizations need to move forward to co-create a future of work beneficial for all stakeholders including employers, owners, and employees.
