Seldom you find a product or a solution that aligns with your value system, and even more seldom you find a product or a solution your can sell or advice your clients to purchase with honest conviction. Here is how I was fortunate to have that experience while I was working with my pervious employer Bajaj Capital Ltd.
As a Relationship Executive my responsibility was to advice clients on how to achieve their financial goals from plethora of solutions available in the market. We were always given the freedom to advice on solution that perfectly aligns with the client’s objective irrespective of the service provider. I was more inclined towards equity solutions and that’s where I want to expertise. One of the major solutions that most of HNI clients wanted was an equity solution which helps them in creating substantial wealth over a long term. One such solution that perfectly fits their demand was Portfolio Management Services (PMS) provided by various asset management companies (AMC). To get more details about the P.M.S. offered by various AMCs we met their Relationship Managers to know more details about the solutions.
After having detailed conversations with the RMs of all the top AMCs only one PMS stood out among all of them ‘Select Sector Portfolio’ (SSP) by Aditya Birla Capital Limited (ABCL). The things that stood out for me was the method followed by the fund managers in selecting the stocks. This was something that I did not hear from any other RMs, something unique only to the SSP PMS of ABCL.
