My interview was scheduled on 2nd March 2022. That day brought a ray of hope that eventually became a full day of joy when I finally received the admission. I am a Computer Science engineer graduate. I have a profile with 95-93-89 in academics.
The interview process for SJMSOM was very well organized and creative. It was a simulation game with each of us having our personal game character. We were able to change the look of our avatar as well. There were multiple rooms created with different interview process happening in each game room. After getting the introduction we were divided into groups for the personal interview.
The interview started off with me greeting all the panelists. There were 3 panelists which consisted of 2 professors and 1 alumni. One of the professors asked me to introduce myself, so I answered it in a chronological order starting with my school life, then college and finally my work experience. I added my achievements as well in this answer. Then, next question was why am I planning to leave a well settled job for an MBA. I answered this question with telling about my interest and my future career plans. I explained that I wanted to understand how an organization functions and how the different fields like finance, marketing, operations gel in together in an organization. Next question was related to my work experience where I explained my role at the company and tasks I am involved in. Since I have a background of Cyber Security, the panelists asked about the data privacy and also questions related to WhatsApp Data privacy issue which was raised before. I tried to explain all the answers in detail and with examples. Another question asked by the panelists were about the gender equality in corporate sector. I explained how multiple companies are creating a balanced corporate culture and life to promote gender equality. A few more questions were asked related to logical thinking and programming from my B-Tech curriculum.
Finally I thanked all the panelists for their time and greeted them a good day.
