EXPERIENCE IN MDI
It was 8:30 PM in the evening of 18
th June 2018 when I reached MDI campus with my hands full with my luggage and my heart full of excitement of joining one of the best B-schools of the country. When I entered the hostel, I saw a frenzy of people running here and there with a look of urgency on their faces. I came to know that there is a session conducted by the student council of the college and I was instructed by everybody to miss it. I had decided to take a nap to prepare myself for the classes the next day but at the same time, I was inquisitive about the session to be conducted. After a few minutes of vacillation, I was looking at my clean shaved face in the mirror as I decided to go for the mysterious session. After reaching there, I realised the adjusting nature of humans as 360 people were somehow adjusted in an auditorium having a capacity of 180. All the adjustments were followed by a few minutes of silence and then few grotesque figures entered the hall. These were members of the students’ council. They started yelling at students for petty reasons. All yelling and scolding ended after 3 hours and what I observed after the session was jovial nature of each council member. I started realising that all they did inside the auditorium was pure acting and drama. Fast forward few days, they surprised us with a party and presto, they were really fun loving people. The best part about MDI according to me till now is the induction program and sessions conducted by seniors. Moving on to the week that followed induction, it was a hectic week with presentations, case discussions and quizzes pouring heavily on us. Nightlife became more and more active with students sitting everywhere studying and simultaneously working for one or the other events. The energy in the air of MDI is unmatchable and that’s what I crave for.
ABG BRAND I WOULD LIKE TO WORK FOR:
The brand under ABG I want to work is Peter England. From last 5 years, I am a great fan of Peter England apparels. Earlier I used to think that Peter England is a foreign brand with its head office somewhere in England. Later on I discovered that Peter England is a subsidiary brand of ABG. After knowing that my favourite apparel brand is owned by an Indian company, I felt elated. The reason I like Peter England and the reason why I want to work for Peter England is same: Colours. The best thing I find about Peter England apparels is the combination of colours. I associate myself with colours because I am an extrovert by personality. I find myself as vivid as colours.
