nd April 2019, the day had come when I finally entered into the corporate world; fortunately, as a summer intern in one of the best group companies in the world, i.e., Mahindra & Mahindra Limited. The federation which under its umbrella had nurtured more than hundreds of companies. Featuring two of its companies among the top 15 Indian great places to work in 2018 makes its one of the most adorable brands of the nation.
Now, it had been two weeks of my joining. Each day of the journey brings a new experience to me. May it be the first day of the induction which started with an ice-breaking session followed by interactions with various leaders of the group or the second day where we got to know about different businesses and sectors that Mahindra had entered and pioneered therein.
Similarly, the third day, we had sessions with the top leaders from auto, firm and agribusinesses along with a fun game session in the second half of the day. During this first week, there was also a design thinking workshop scheduled which enabled us to touch upon both rational and emotional sides while developing consumer insights.
The most enriching session during the induction was that of with Mr. Anand Mahindra, the Executive director of Mahindra & Mahindra Limited. It was not on any of Mahindra’s businesses or its future; rather it was on one of the important aspects of life which most of us usually ignore or misunderstand – ‘the purpose of one’s life.' Here is

Every subsequent day is more exciting here. I am interning in the finance department in the Group. Like everything, the people of this department are also awesome. I am being mentored by the Head of Investor relations on my project. With the goals set and arduous zeal, I have begun to work on the project deliverables. I am looking forward to learning a lot which would ultimately pave the path for my future endeavors.
