IIM Lucknow welcomes the new batch of the post-graduate program in style. The 30
th batch of PGP entered the gates of IIM Lucknow with a population of diverse background from lawyers to musicians to cricketers to pharmacists to dentists… and a smile on each of their faces.
After a successful induction, they ran the race which marked the beginning of their two years tenure and a more competitive race ahead with scores of quizzes, pre-placement talks, surprise quizzes, fights for CV points and a lot more awaiting.
They ran the marathon at 6 in the morning and with the oath the new batch promised to live up to the expectation of everyone and carry forward the legacy.
The bang on the table began soon after to greet the new batch in IIM Lucknow’s own way. And like I always say, Arnab Goswami might damage his voice after engaging in a two hours long verbal battle with a politician, but the students of IIM Lucknow can scream out loud enough to break records and statistics. Such is the enthralling crowd of the best brains in the country. And such is the rare occasion when these unlikely and uncommon quintessential would-be managers do get together to shout. This was another such occasion.
The thrilled hearts kept beating fast, this time not in anxiety, but with added responsibility – to form a bunch of thoughtfully gullible, willingly clumsy, skilfully frenetic, woeful survivors on milk and cornflakes and to make IIM L (read Hell) Hellarious… an unbelievable combination of always-in-a-hurry nerds and unpredictable times.
