I still remember the day I went to buy my first mobile sim with my Dad when I finished my schooling and was joining the university, I was excited by the fact that I was finally going to get a cell phone of my own and I was spoilt for choices with a variety of service providers and finally settled on Idea . Thus began my tryst with Aditya Birla Group and since than it has been an integral part of my life.
As soon as I entered the Allen Solly showroom for the first time I was enamoured by the uber cool designs they had to offer in men's wear. Since than I have been hooked to the brand and shop there regularly. I had always thought of it as a British brand and when I finally got to know it was owned by Aditya Birla Group it piqued my interest in the company and the research led me to believe that they also owned other fashion brands like Louis Phillipe , Van Heusen and Peter England . These brands were my go to destination for office wear in my professional stint as an Analyst for three years.
My family decided build a new home some three years back and my father didn't give a second thought and bought Ultratech cement to construct our humble abode , I think there wasn't much competition to begin with. I am pretty sure that my house will come out as strong and the choice of cement would have played a huge role in it. And of course we used Birla wall care putty to protect our walls from damage that can be caused due to heavy rains in my native place.
This is just one of the many ways in which Aditya Birla Group has been an integral part of my life and I am sure a large number of my fellow countrymen have been impacted the same way as I have been by the various businesses of ABG spread over India. The contribution that the group has made in its 162 years of existence is just incredible and it stands as an example of how a business should be run with great emphasis on ethics and sustainability.
