Six Months before leaving MIT Aditya Birla told G.D. Birla that he wanted to “Create something really BIG” and today, we as a country bear a testimony to the same.
The life of an Indian is being complemented at every step with Aditya Birla branded products. As an Indian, it gives me immense pride to say that there are Indian business houses like Aditya Birla, who have not only have germinated here but also diversified over the years taking care of the end to end needs of an Indian consumer. Aditya Birla has evolved into an ecosystem in itself.
I feel, I have had a life closely related with the Aditya Birla brand products. Right from when I was a kid and my mother trusted and packed my lunch in FreshWrap foil to when my family constructed a new house using the Ultra Tech cement, to me growing up and wearing AB line of clothing like Allen Solly to my job and college interviews, I feel Aditya Birla brand has been there all along beside me to mark all the important milestones in my life together with infusing me with confidence at each step.
Serving a wide population and almost all demographics, it has been able to smoothen the life of an Indian consumer. Moreover, it is noteworthy how Aditya Birla Umbrella has been able to generate employment across India. Today, there is a significant number of employees involved right from the time of creation of the product till it reaches into the hands of the customer.
When Aditya Birla started his journey, he faced multiple external blockers and he worked around them to grow upwards and on wards. With time the issues have changed but the zeal of the company to grow forward has not changed. They grow together as one.
Similarly, whatever little that I have achieved in my life so far, is the result of the relentless efforts of me and my family. Every single time, the belief that if we keep on trying, the blockers vanish, became stronger and stronger.
One such challenge in my life has been growing up in a nuclear family where both my parents were working till late in the evening. It was the kind of setting where there was no one to pick up me and my siblings from school and we would come back to an empty house. How we overcame this challenge is that we worked as a unit, we took care of each other and our parents made sure they were always there in the background. I feel this upbringing helped me step up and learn how to take care of me and my siblings from a very young age. In fact, right from the first day of school of my little brother, I used to cover his books, pack his bags and make sure he did all his homework along with doing the same for myself. Being able to take up responsibility of oneself and one’s siblings gradually but firmly establishes greater values and teaches the importance of teamwork from a very young age. These times helped us learn how to handle different situations and made us realize that together we could deal with almost all problems.
Such challenges in life awake us to the fact that everyone has immense potential and bring out the best in us during the worst of times.
