“Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.” ―
Helen Keller.
As we all are aware of, life is not just a flower, it comes along with the thorns on stems as well. All of us would have faced certain challenges in life, but overcoming these challenges and achieving your goals is the thing that makes you admirable among others. The point is to make way for the better things in your life by showing the bitter things the right way.
I can recall a phase of my life- of which today when I think, I feel good for myself. Coming from a business background, I have seen ups and downs in businesses. But due to certain family issues, when your father is left with no money at all, has no work to do, is searching for job or way to start a business, and you have just entered in one of the most crucial phase of a student’s life i.e. Class 12
th, then you are left with just one thought – “What wrong did I do?” But it’s not your fault, right? It’s just the life, testing and preparing you for greater hardships.
At that time, I was dealing with other emotional issues as well. So, I found myself lagging behind in studies. So, I needed tuitions for certain subjects, but didn’t have a single penny for that. It took me a few weeks to realise that I should do something for myself or I would start hating myself because grades were the only important thing in my life. So, I started giving tuitions to juniors and also started to earn some bucks by recharging people’s sim-cards. And approached a tutor to give me certain rebate. Luckily, a teacher agreed to give me a rebate and I managed to score decent marks. It wasn’t over yet. After that, the business which my father had started in another city was nowhere known to people. There were times when for a week he didn’t see a single customer. I, along with his help, roamed the city, distributing business cards and giving discounts, and making them aware that this ‘fish’ also exists in the city full of big ‘sharks’. Finally, the business is on track now and we were able to attain a position which we can admire of.
And now when I have made it into TAPMI, one of the best b-schools in the country, I can say that I have really made way towards my goals by overcoming the challenges so far in life and hope will be able to do so in future as well. So, what I feel is when you just focus on your goals and give your best for it, then whatever comes in your way, it doesn’t even matter.
