Alarm buzzes off. Its 7 already. Amidst the chirping of birds, I wake up early on a Sunday morning with determination. I perform my morning chores and cook a filling food for myself. Wrapping it in Super-Wrap foil, I pack my lunch box. I get ready, wear my favourite Peter England Shirt and set out of home. The reason for doing this is that I am going to attend Crucible Quiz Competition – India’s premier business quiz competition organised for undergraduate and post graduate students. I am an avid quizzer and I have been quizzing since my school days. I had participated and brought laurels at various quizzes conducted at different levels. I continued to pursue my hobby and Crucible was one of the milestones of my quizzing career.  Crucible is the most prestigious quiz competition in India. It is conducted across 30+ cities and sees active participation from more than 3000 students from across India. Being an avid quizzer myself, I always harboured a dream of winning this competition at-least once in my lifetime. Coincidentally, that day Crucible was being organised in my city. This was my chance to fulfill my dream and I was determined to not to miss my chance. I left no stones upturned during my preparation. Once I reached the venue, I met several talented fellow quizzers who were buzzing to participate and leave their lasting mark on the event. The quiz pattern was simple. A preliminary round consisting of 20 questions to be answered on a paper followed by a final between top 6 qualifying teams. I took my seat and geared up myself for the quiz questions. One after another, as the questions came, I started answering them which in turn, started building up my confidence. Soon the prelims got over and we broke for lunch. The results were to be tallied and announced after the lunch. During the lunch time, I unpacked my food, which was kept fresh by Super-Wrap foil and in the meantime made a quick call to my parents over my Idea network. I have been a loyal customer of Idea since several years and I vouch for its hassle-free service. After the lunch, it was time for announcing the final 6 participants. There was palpable tension among the crowd. As the quizmaster started announcing names, butterflies started flying in my tummy. Finally, my name was announced as the 6th and final participant who made it to the finals. I had just scraped through, beating other competitors by a whisker. Once on stage for the finals, I was all set to conquer it and fulfill my dream of winning this prestigious competition. Continuing from where I left off in prelims, I started answering the questions with a firm confidence. I adopted a strategy of answering only those question which I was sure about and not to take any negatives by giving wrong answers. By following this strategy, I started climbing up the score chart. My chances further increased when other participants gave wrong answers thus taking a negative hit on their scores. After answering the last question, I was declared as the winner. I was elated for I was able to fulfill my dream of winning this competition among top quality quizzers and I was glad that the Aditya Birla group in form of its impact products, provided me the support for achieving my dream.
