Aditya Birla Group is an omnipresent brand that has been part of me in some form or the other throughout my life. The early reminiscence that I have of the brand reminds me of the school going days where the home-cooked was packed by my mother in ABGP’s Freshpakk Aluminium Foil.
The next stage of my early life was shifting to a new home. There was a strange set of curiosity and fright at the same time due to new surroundings, new people, new environment. The excitement of a new home and a private room was the thing that was novelty during those days. Even at that stage of life, I have a distinct memory of ABG’s product being prominently used in the development of the house that we now call as ‘Home’.
The next critical stage of my life is after completion of SSC and joining a college for under graduation. This stage it different set of apprehensions as well as a sense of freedom. It involved apprehensions due to traveling to a different place for attending college as well as liberty from the so-called school uniform. The freedom portion of my life was yet again supported by ABG product, and this time it was Pantaloons. Pantaloons was the most loved and trusted large format retailer then and now. Adolescence period is over once the under graduation (B.E. in my case) is completed, and the real life is started by applying for jobs. The casual kid has to be groomed and get ready for the real world out there, and ABG’s famous brand Peter England helped this stage. As the tagline suggests “Beginning of Good Things”, it was a great start of my three years of work experience in corporate life. As one climbs the corporate ladder and gains new positions, the requirements and demands also change. This also led to a change of my behavior towards products and thus the shift to ‘Van Heusen’ due to my loyalty to ABG Group.
The inner demon that I had to fight was last year about the life-changing decision made when I decided to let go of my comfort zone and join Indian Institute of Management Rohtak (IIM Rohtak) for pursuing my MBA. It was a tough decision for a person who has never left his home and who was used to a daily 9-5 job. The initial few months were spent in turmoil getting used to student life. After getting accustomed, it was the time to learn, perform, and get the best out of anything and everything. But the end is not yet reached. The end goal will be achieved when I develop the requisite set of skills at my alma matter, i.e. IIM Rohtak and get a job at my dream company.
