ABG is a big part of the world and also a big part of mine &. A group of companies so big, I don’t think I would ever be in a country without a part of ABG in it. From a young age itself, Aditya Birla was one of the most common sights on hoardings and TV. Today ABG is a sign of trust and assurance. I know that when I come across a brand if it is a part of ABG, quality is something I do not have to question. From the clothes, we wear to the buildings that we live in, from the roads we ride on, to the phones we use, a part or whole of it is ABG. In itself, Aditya Birla is an icon of growth. It sets an example of how perseverance always pays off. I believe that in the case of ABG, it is always a question of how bigger can we get. The diversity of the domains captured by ABG resonates with the diversity in our country so well! Who would’ve thought a company that started as a jute manufacturer would one day conquer the world? ABG had acquired UltraTech Cement to form India's largest cement company. The sky was never a limit when it came to growth for this conglomerate. It is just a matter of days when schools might soon start using ABG is the limit rather than Sky is the limit. I am sure that Aditya Birla Group will continue to be an essential part of our lives in the coming future.
One of my biggest ambitions in life was to step out of my bubble. Being an introvert from a very young age, change was not a concept I was open to nor was it something that happened too often in my life. Ironically, this was something I wanted to change. Right about this time in college, in the year 2017, I was given the opportunity to join the debate club of my college. Being the first year of the club, we had no prior knowledge or point of reference to act as a mentor. We had a goal in mind; to conduct the first every inter-college debate competition in the college. The only debates that were conducted until then were the small debate competitions that were held during the intra-college fests. Thus, we began our journey towards SAMVAAD, an inter-college debate competition. It was probably the best challenge for me to bring about a change in myself. An introvert being appointed the PR Head was probably not the best decision, but I left no room for complaints. We were successful in getting 150+ participants for the event. For the first such event of its kind in our college and starting off without a brand name, we did an amazing job at executing it. It was a very important phase in my life as I finally broke my chains and today, I’m a much better person.
