As we know network connectivity has become an essential part of our existence today. Making calls, browsing the internet, using mobile applications for banking, travel, work, social networking, ordering food and many more have become a way of life. Having a trusted brand to provide connectivity is indispensable. Vodafone Idea is the option that comes to your mind when you think about Mobile network service providers and I have been a loyal user of it since long. Although Jio came in to disrupt the businesses of all players in the market and was able to wipe out a few players, Vodafone Idea stood the testing times because of its service excellence, reliability and affordability and customers like me stood along with it.  My first job was with Hawkins Cookers Limited, which I joined in 2015 as a Management Trainee. Upon entering the factory premises, I saw a plethora of Hindalco Aluminium wrappers on the shop floor. As the major raw material for manufacturing pressure cookers is Aluminium and Hindalco supplies the major chunk of Hawkins consumption, Hindalco immediately became synonymous to me. After getting confirmed as a Quality Control Manager, I used to get Hindalco material tested on a regular basis and found it to be matching our Quality Control requirements without any compromise. Only once in my association of over 4 years with Hawkins, I found a glitch with Hindalco material, which got addressed immediately and professionally by Hindalco and it was chance for me to interact face to face with their employees and I was impressed by the praises they sung about Hindalco.

As I have derived much benefit from Aditya Birla Group’s presence, I would like to contribute to it in the future. How I overcame challenges in life to achieve my ambitions I was born into a middle-class family in Delhi. When I was about 9 years old, my father, a computer engineer, lost his job during the dot com bubble burst and is not employed till date. My mother took up the responsibility for providing the financial means for our family by teaching in school but there were frequent feuds between my father and mother which continue till date. Being very young, it was a disturbing scenario and affected all of our family members physical and mental health. As I grew up, I had much freedom as my parents were not able to exert much control over me and I was happy to be involved in sports. I had my ups and downs in academics but with the help and motivation of my mother and elder sister, I was able to perform well during critical junctures of my academic life. My school life was divided into 7 different schools in India and abroad due to family circumstances. My mother was the guiding mentor throughout providing me with finances, counseling, teaching, and love. With the grace of God, I was able to complete my Mechanical Engineering and started working with a manufacturing company based in Mumbai. Work Life was challenging as it involved regular department and location changes along with extensive travel. I always wanted to pursue higher studies but financial circumstances did not support it. My job with Hawkins gave me much Industry exposure and some monetary savings. I was able to persevere through all this and today I am at IIM Raipur, pursuing higher education along with a dream to work with an organization as big as Aditya Birla Group. #IIM Raipur#ABGLPWooMe
