Part A
Aditya Birla Group is a conglomerate which would have touched every person's life in one way or another. It is a US $44.3 billion corporation and is in the League of Fortune 500. The services offered by it have a huge variety and belong to different classes. I have encountered ABG a lot of times without even realizing.
It includes Pantaloons, a fashion and retail store which is usually my most visited store whenever I need to purchase a decent and reasonable dress. It offers apparels from casual to formal and party wear and is hence usually the go-to store for everyone. Allen Solly offers the most comfortable and perfectly fit formal wear. Planet Fashion is one place where I get to choose from a variety of brands. This makes it convenient and saves time for me while shopping. Freshwrapp includes foil packaging which is an important product for storing food in households.
Peter England offers the best accessories and hence it has become my recent favorite. UltraTech Cement is the most popularly used and most trustworthy cements when constructing houses or offices. Also, Vodafone provides a great network coverage in areas where most of the top networks fail to reach. All the top brands which impact my lifestyle or life choices belong to Aditya Birla Group.
Also, Aditya Birla Group offers CSR activities and works towards the economic and social development of communities and helps the weaker sections of the society to build a better and sustainable way of life.
Part- B How I overcame challenges to achieve my ambitions in life
Like anyone else, I faced many challenges in life and overcame them to achieve my ambitions in life. Throughout my childhood, I thought I was a creative person as I enjoyed sketching, painting, crafting, doodling and various other creative activities which my school taught. I had no particular ambition in life and it would keep changing as I kept growing up. According to me, realizing what I wanted to be was the biggest challenge in my life.
In class 12th, I had taken economics as my optional subject along with Science as I had a keen interest towards learning this subject. I scored well in Economics and my parents wanted me to join Delhi University to carry forward in the same stream. But, I wanted to go ahead with Engineering as I thought that suited well with my abilities. I had then started realizing that though I had a creative side, I had an interest in pursuing a more logical approach. Convincing my parents was another hurdle that I faced. I worked hard for entrance tests and managed to get into a decent Engineering College.
My declining health was another challenge in achieving my ambition of becoming a successful Mechanical Engineer. Bad health hit me during the placement time of fourth year, but firm belief and dedication helped me through it. I got selected in a decent multidisciplinary design firm in Mumbai and worked there for a while before joining PGDM Programme in Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Bangalore.
