the services it provides it has made a space in our homes and hearts. A giant in its own way ABG
didn’t limit itself to corporate affairs. Its role in India’s freedom movement acts instils a sense of
pride in all Indians. When the whole nation was in turmoil, pioneers like GD Birla took an innovative
step of organising a commercial bank to help Indians realize their dreams. His work in social

In a nation like India with such a huge population, its every venture acts a blessing for many in the
form of jobs and has become a hope of empowerment. Its CSR activities has transformed the shape
of India in the field of health, education and many other social causes.
It gives me immense pleasure when I read about Aditya Birla Group’s success story and motivates
me to work hard and achieve success in my life. It is really “Taking India to the world”.
Part B
Declared a failure by my teachers in school, I never thought that I would one day study in one of the
most prestigious institutes of India. My journey from being one of the last students in the class to
reaching an IIM often makes me wonder, “How did this happen?”.
Since childhood I was a timid and unimpressive boy. I had myself lost all hope of doing anything good
in my life. Being bullied was my everyday affair and my bad scores had also taken from me the
strength to fight back. My only friends in those times were books where I would read stories of
people who fought back and made it big in their life. These stories instilled a sense of hope in me and
every day I would wait for my school hours to get over so that I can again lock myself into my room
and dive in the world of stories. These stories didn’t just make me hopeful but they also made me
curious about the lives of others and how things work. I started reading encyclopaedias, novels,
journals, etc. My confidence started to build up and I started taking part in Quiz competitions,
debates and extempore. My victories in these events gave me strength and I now moved from
participating in the events to organizing it. I was no more scared of being in public view. Things had
changed for me drastically and once a terribly bad student in mathematics I ended up teaching math
in one of the most prestigious coaching institutes of India. My struggle in life had made me strong
and brought me a hunger to become successful in all strands of life.
