Considering the fact that Aditya Birla Group is an Indian multinational conglomerate operating in various sectors like cement, fashion, telecommunication and many more, not just in India but all over the world, it makes sense that people can so easily relate with me when I say that ABG plays a very big role in my life. I can still remember the moment when I got my first phone in the ninth standard in school and the excitement with which I went to Idea’s store to purchase my first ever sim card. Till date I still use the same sim card which is now Vodafone Idea Limited, a partnership between Aditya Birla Group and Vodafone Group. It is my lifeline now that I am staying away from home as it helps me to easily stay connected to my family at all times. Also, majority of my wardrobe consists of clothes from brands like Forever 21, Allen Solly and Van Heusen which are all a part of ABG. And how can I forget Pantaloons, which is my go to when I’m looking to shop from various affordable brands all available in one place. After CAT I purchased my first ever business formals from Allen Solly for college interviews. It played a great role in making me feel more confident and look professional. It is very rightly said that first impression is the last impression and Allen Solly definitely helped me to make a good first impression in front of the interviewers. A few years ago, when I was living in Mumbai, one of my happiest moments was driving through the Bandra-Worli Sealink. In that moment, on that bridge, all I would think about is the beauty of the city and forget about my rigorous and chaotic life. About 0.1 million Metric Tonne of UltraTech Cement was used in the construction of the same. When I found out about this, I was left in awe at the small yet still such big ways in which ABG is a part of my life. ABG’s active welfare-driven activities make me proud to be part of the ABG family.

HOW I OVERCAME CHALLENGES TO ACHIEVE MY AMBITIONS IN LIFE SO FAR Setting targets and goals is important for everyone in their lives. Even I had an ambition in life. I wanted to make something of myself so that I could make my parents proud. Ever since I was a child, I’ve looked up to my elder sister. I’ve seen her evolve from a young girl to an independent woman and that’s exactly what I aspired to achieve in my life. After finishing my 12th standard in commerce, I decided to pursue Chartered Accountancy. I had heard great deals about it and how CAs are respected so much in the society. It was definitely something that would’ve made my parents proud. So I cleared the foundation level and went on to clear the intermediate level as well. Then I completed my three years mandatory internship to become eligible to give my CA final exam. Until now I had never seen failure in my life and I failed in my first attempt of final exams. I was very disheartened and lost all of my self-confidence. I gave the exam again and failed again. There came a point where I was so depressed that I couldn’t sleep at night. I lost all interest in studying and would just sit there staring at my books. I would never leave my room. My parents would look at me with pain in their eyes as they couldn’t understand why I had become like this. Finally, one day my parents sat me down and told me that they wouldn’t be disappointed or any less proud if I decide not to give my final exam. That was a breaking point for me and I decided it was time to take a break from it and gave CAT instead in November 2018. In my very first attempt at it, I cleared and converted XIMB and now my parents proudly tell everyone that their daughter is studying MBA in XIMB.
