The company has gone through multiple changes throughout its history and time & time has transformed itself in response to changing socio economic conditions of the world. Due to this attribute, I can deeply connect with the organization as even I have gone through multiple transformations throughout my career.
I got the first jolt of my career when I couldn’t get into my dream college. Later I realized that I am not really interested in hard sciences and might as well go for an MBA in the future. I appeared for the 2016 CAT but contrary to my belief CAT wasn’t like any other exam which I had faced before. This was the second jolt of my career which shook me to my core. Never in my life have I been hit and brought down by something which seemed unbeatable.
The year 2017 was a depressing one, but Franklin D. Roosevelt rightly said, “A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor”. I bagged a job, started working hard to make a name for myself and slowly my dream of doing an MBA became the least of my priorities. Day in and day out was the only routine I was left with. Soon it started to get to me, those four walls started to close on me, and I realize how futile were my late night overtime sessions. I again appeared for CAT in 2017, scored a decent percentile but who knew I had a third jolt coming my way, I couldn’t convert any of the top tier B-schools.
If the year 2017 was a depressing one, then it was just a laugh in front of 2018. My job took me to different parts of India which meant stricter deadlines, loads of traveling and lesser time to prepare. After being down for 3 times now, I understood that this needed to stop, and I had to give my all for this one last shot. I incessantly studied during my travels and endured sleepless nights just to ace one mock, one test, one sectional. My previous experience told me to take it slowly, one day at a time, one breath at a time. Came 2018 CAT, and to my utmost joy aced it with flying colors. I got into one of the top premier B Schools of this country i.e. MDI, Gurgaon.
How is ABG big in my life?
Throughout the journey, ABG was a constant part of my life, on the road I was always in safe hands thanks to Birla Carbon. Exclusive stores of Van Heusen and Pantaloons are spread across the country which made sure I never ran out of option and never returned to old fashion. Most importantly Vodafone Idea kept me close my friends and family members during all those testing times.
