PART A:
Our world is made of tangible and intangible things. There are things that we can see, feel, touch and smell. Then there are things that we cannot sense but are every bit as important to us. When we go out to buy commodities it is the most tangible thing we do in our day to day lives. We go to shops and malls and we choose a product that we like and discard others because we can. However the intangible part is the effort behind it. We never take a moment to think about the tremendous amount of choices that we have in our markets today. We don't think about it because it is not in the open, because most of us can't see it in front of us. Our nation was a closed economy for many years after Independence. Our markets were full of one or at most two varieties of products and people did not get to choose. Today our country is a fast paced consumer driven economy that rivals most markets in the world. In the decades following our Independence what changed? Or rather we should ask who changed it? Who lead our country from a closed monopolistic economy to this vibrant era that we all are enjoying now? It was our industry powerhouses who brought about this change. One of the biggest names in Indian industrial landscape is of course Aditya Birla Group. They have moved from strength to strength to pursue excellence in whatever they produce. Be it apparels, insurance, cement, rubber, BPOs or telecommunications ABG group has given the citizens of this country a choice to buy something that they want and not because they have to. They have put power in the hands of the consumer with a vast array of products which would not have been possible otherwise. It is for this very reason why ABG IS BIG IN MY LIFE, and it makes me proud to use the products of an organization of such stature.
PART B:
Challenges are a part and parcel of a person's life. I learned that at an early age and have always strived to face and overcome whatever challenges life threw at me. Over the years I have found that the two biggest challenges that everyone faces is time management and constantly reinventing oneself. I have always had a fascination towards multiple things in my life, I did my engineering in Electronics and Instrumentation because I had always loved electronics. After graduating I got a job in TCS which was a challenge for me as I did not have a deep insight in software development, however, I rose to the challenge and managed to master my job and deliver excellence. During my graduation, I developed an interest in the Stock Markets and I actively traded in it. There were lot's of ups and downs but I hung on and today I have developed sufficient proficiency in it. I had always wanted to buy a car of my own however it was tough for me to afford a car at such an early stage of my career so I improvised and decided to buy a car that I would utilize in an app cab platform as well as for my personal needs. So I learned as much as I could about the cab business as I had next to no knowledge in this field and enrolled my car in Uber. It has been two
years and my investment has been a fruitful one so far. So I feel over the years I have managed to involve myself in a number of activities from varying fields
and I have done well in most of them. I believe the most important asset to do this is improvisation and efficient management and who better to learn these two qualities from than the Aditya Birla Group? ABG has diversified and involved themselves in a huge array of products that has touched all
our lives in some way or the other, it is my ambition to do the same and I draw inspiration from the core values of ABG and their ever-increasing drive to strive for excellence come what may.
