'I Will Cherish These Memories For Life' - Saloni's Internship Experience At Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd. (Times Group) - MDI Gurgaon

Hi, I am pursuing my MBA in HR from Management Development Institute (MDI Gurgaon). I interned with Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd. (BCCL) or commonly known as Times Group for two months. I worked under the head of the Talent Acquisition(TA) team during these two months on an analytics based project the pre-requisite of which was to have a basic understanding of different departments. Hence, it required me to interact with people from various departments.

I had certain expectations from this internship. I wanted to gain an understanding of the industry which was completely new to me, work on a challenging project, and be surrounded by people with open mindset who value my learning and initiation equal to any other mandate of the internship. I must admit, BCCL exceeded all my expectations.

My mentor was very approachable and hence I could ask any doubt or convey any concern without hesitation. My team members were ready to extend help whenever required. There was immense support for an eager young mind and its countless questions, each of which strengthen my perspective and knowledge about HRM.

Apart from this, the entire experience became special and smooth due to the tremendous effort put in by the campus team of BCCL. I experienced the most well planned ice breakers some of which were an engaging WhatsAapp group, movie outing etc. A clear statement of open and inclusive culture embracing work life harmony was set from the day zero. The constant support extended and continuous feedback taken from the interns was very appreciable.

I will cherish these memories for life!
