Aditya Birla Group is an Indian Multinational Conglomerate, headquartered in Worli, Mumbai, India. It operates in 35 countries with more than 120,000 employees worldwide. The group was founded by Seth Shiv Narayan Birla in 1857. The group has interests in viscose staple fibre, metals, cement (largest in India), viscose filament yarn, branded apparel, carbonblack, chemicals, fertilisers, insulators, financial services, telecom, BPO and IT services.
Aditya Birla group is majorly known for its involvement in the real estate sector but being an international conglomerate, it has touched my life in a completely different way; that way being fashion. I have visited ABG’s fashion stores n number of time and slowly it has become my shopping solution.
I still remember it so vivdly, it was my first day in NMIMS and unluckily my bags which had my formal clothes had gone missing. The global reach that ABG has, I was never more than a km away from one of its stores. I quickly went to pantaloons and shopped for my formal wear just in time for my orientation. This just shows that even unconsciously, we are related to or affected by this huge Indian conglomerate in one way or another. Apart from this, from the faulty cracks in our ceilings to deciding where to invest my savings, ABG always has the solution.
ABG as a group isn’t just affecting individuals in their personal lives but also on businesses across multiple domains. While constructing our new floor, Dad and mom and everyone wanted to use ABG. There wasn't any feasible alternative. This shows the impact ABG has had.
