When I got the offer from XIMB and decided to join the college, my excitement for this new journey was at its peak. Considering it is a 30 years old college and one of the oldest college in the country to offer this degree, the urge to know more and more about this college, the campus life and all the activities were always running through my veins. So I interacted with many people who have been associated with XIMB and one common thing everyone said was the unique nature of the college which can only be felt once you are in the campus. I came here and within two weeks of my stay, I can already feel the unique nature the college creates.
So what makes XIMB so unique!
A Jesuit educational institution with a rich cultural heritage, the College has opened its door to students irrespective of communities or religious identities – assuming a secular nature while believing the distinctive Jesuit character of the College. The Jesuit system of education ensures spiritual blossoming of the students, fosters in them the spirit to strive after excellence – anticipate joy in learning and be agents of social change. The College environment provides a sanctuary of wisdom for learned professors and zealous students. The campus through its various activities brings out the talent of each student and explores on that. As you walk down its corridors, the College speaks to you – it urges you to take the path towards learning – towards enlightenment – and whispers in your ears: “Nothing is perfect as long as anything remains to be done.”
Lastly, as I was writing this I realized that if just two weeks of campus life can create such a huge impression on me, I think XIMB is much more than just unique and people will come and go but the legacy will live forever.
Which Aditya Birla Company I would like to work for?
If I get an opportunity to work for the Aditya Birla Group, I will like to work for Idea Cellular which falls within the telecommunication sector of the group. First of all, I had a background of telecommunication during my graduation days and the telecommunication industry with all the new innovations and technology is growing at a huge pace and will continue to grow. Moreover, the Idea Cellular group after its merger with Vodafone is set to become the largest service provider in this industry and to be a part of this and to contribute towards this change will be a huge achievement for me and will also help in my career growth.
