Starting with my childhood, I had always led a simple and normal life. Simple friends, simple family and simple goals. As life went on, I started to wonder “Is my life too simple?” There were no ups and downs in my life. I used to go to school, read some and come back. My mother used to pamper me with delicious food. My father went to his office and came back in the evening and played video games with me. My family was content and happy but somewhere in my mind, I always had an anxiety “Will something go wrong?”
And as people say, those days were merely the calm before the storm. March 20, 2014 - My mother was having a Bypass Surgery. My younger brother and I were praying for her. The doctor had assured that the surgery was a routine affair for him. I was still skeptical. Fast forward 18 days, I was lighting my mother’s pyre.
My simple family had just been demolished and I was out of words to describe my life. But after some days, I got a new word to describe myself “Persevere”. From that day onward, I have always tried my best to tackle obstacles and prevail whatever the problem may be. I completed my engineering, got a job, worked for a year, left the job, prepared for management entrances, appeared the exams, got a call, converted it and am now studying in one of the best B-Schools in the country for HR. I became much more confident, started helping others a lot and have always tried to remain happy. In short, I persevered.
