Everyday life is filled with odds and challenges. One such challenge which I faced early in life was not able to speak properly. I joined school early when I was 1.75 years old as per the doctor’s advice that I will learn to speak after seeing other kids’ speaking patterns. I started speaking after watching others, but I started stammering while speaking during my third standard. I didn’t give up on myself, I started analyzing people’s pronunciation and the way they make the sound while speaking. Due to my continuous efforts and support from parents, I started to speak properly during my seventh standard. Everything was going fine but one day, I wanted to participate in the Debate Competition organized by the literary society of my school. I registered for the event and prepared on the topic Kamaraj, who was also known as King Maker. My turn came, I started to speak in front of 300 students of my batch. I started on a good note but after 20 seconds, I started stammering in front of the audience and got ridiculed by them. I decided, one day I will gain the skills to participate in Public speaking and debates. Times passed, I finished Engineering and joined Wipro Technologies. In our company, I came to know about Toastmasters club in our office. I joined the club and in the first meeting itself, I was asked to give an impromptu speech on Favorite day in my life. I tried but I started stammering in the middle and ended my speech. After the incident, I started seeing Public Speaking videos, read books to overcome stage fear and got support from fellow Toastmasters. The day came, I was given an impromptu topic on my engineering life, I aced it and got the Best Table topic of the day award. Then I started participating in debates and one of the best compliments I received was during my Personal Interview at MDI, the Professor appreciated my debating skills which I showcased during the GD Round. There is a popular saying, If you try touching the moon, at least you can touch the stars, I beg to differ from this. I like to say, If you try touching the moon, you will even touch the Mars one day.
The reason why the Aditya Birla Group Is Big In my life:
Every Brand leaves a unique sense of feel and belonging for Every individual. One of the companies which create such brands which touch people heart and lives is Aditya Birla Group. My first interaction with one of the Birla Group brands was during my 6th standard when I visited Cement Whole sale shop with my father to buy cement for our under-construction home, I was stunned by the big flex boards adorning the walls advertising the brand. After 15 years, Our Home still stays strong as the brand reputation and value. I got the second interaction with the Aditya Birla Group's brand was when I purchased the While color Van Heusen shirt and the Sandal color Peter England Trousers for my Placement Interview. I still remember the moment because that was the first time, I spent Rs.2500 on a single pair of clothes. It’s been 6 years; the brand proved the value for money. I am still using the Sandal Trousers. My third Interaction was when I brought Salwar and jeans for my sister with first month salary from Pantaloons, the store which provided the dresses where our tradition and Culture was woven Beautifully. Now I feel the interactions are numerous from living in a home build by ultra-cement, wearing dresses from brands like Allen Solly, Peter England, Van Heusen etc. and visiting fashion outlets like Pantaloons and Planet Fashion.
