Aditya Birla Group, a brand so familiar and omnipresent, since its inception in 1857, has become a protagonist in household stories. With revenue of US $ 44.3 billion, the Birla empire has become a conglomerate of top brands like Allen Solly, Columbian Chemicals, UltraTech Cement, Idea Cellular and many more. Branching into the various domains of agribusiness, textile industries, cement, Aditya Birla Group has captured a lion’s share of the retail as well as B2B markets. Aditya Birla Group’s market strategy has been the most compelling which has made it the market leader of today. Targeting the perfect audience base, aggressive mergers and acquisitions as well as acquiring two competitor brands under the same roofs makes ABG’s strategy as a unique way to increase its umbrella. Aditya Birla Group and its contribution to the environment make it very close to my heart. On a larger scale, it has impacted the lives of the masses by its 3R policy of waste management. Hindalco Novelis, being one of the subsidiaries of ABG, has taken this initiative to recycle the aluminum cans and produce its own beverage cans. Aluminum waste deteriorates marine health. Affecting the gill-breathing animals such as fish and invertebrates by causing osmoregulatory failure, aluminum proves to be one of the most toxic elements. Starting from its cotton business, ABG has left no stone unturned to capture the textile market of India through its brands like Louis Philippe, Peter England, Allen Solly and many more. Market segmentation has been a major driver in the marketing of the brands under ABG. Magnificent marketing strategies, coupled with superior brands and high-end quality has made ABG one of the pioneers of modern-day business world.
I completed my graduation in 2017 from NIT Durgapur. I was placed at a reputed company in Chennai. But, due to a major health issue, I had to quit the job and return to Raipur. I remained sick for three months. I was clueless about my career. At that time, I came across the advertisement of IBPS PO and other banking exams. Though I was sick, I decided to attempt the exams as I did not want to waste that particular year. I still remember, on the day of IBPS PO prelims exam, I was very sick. Still, I convinced myself to appear for the exam. Eventually I cleared IBPS RRB PO exam and I was appointed as a Probationary Officer in Chhattisgarh Rajya Gramin Bank on 15/03/2018. It was a challenging situation in my personal life, which also affected my professional life. This event taught me that optimism in life is necessary to conquer any hurdle that comes in path of our goals. It also taught me that our efforts play a major role in deciding the outcome. So in a way, it is the process which is more important than the eventual result. Hence, one should focus more and be ready to strive hard during the process rather thinking about the outcomes. Overcoming the challenge, for me, has always been striving towards an action oriented approach. Acceptance of the situation is the first step followed by an action plan and sticking to it for achieving the bigger goal. Knowing about the desired output is always a necessary approach for me, yet the feeling of a good future must not affect my present action. Being an action-oriented person, I approach every challenge with zeal and enthusiasm, fearlessly
