I supposed it to be an icebreaker session unless and until I was surprised with a balance sheet to analyse. When our group kicked off the analysis each and every word was more like a jargon to us. We struggled a lot, came up with few numbers and strategies only to realize that our company is at loss and going to be bankrupt soon. Probably it was our first time but the amount of fun we had analysing the balance sheet and guessing numbers was real fun. We weren’t disappointed only for the fact that it was just a game else who would be so calm going cashless unless and until it is for digital India.
The crazy night out we had to analyse whether it was okay to pursue MBA giving up our sleep rather than completing our assignments which were due the next morning. Now that we are sorted, and our priorities are set and with much help from our seniors we are able to manage multiple things at a time with ease not really compromising on our sleep. After all learning through experiences is all that matters.
I wish these tiny little memories of today would hopefully make us laugh and revisit the entire journey after two years and yes, they are yet more to come, and we are all geared up.
Which ABG company would you want to work for and why?
Given a chance, I would want to be associated with Aditya Birla Capital Limited, which is the umbrella brand for all the financial services business of The Aditya Birla Group. With its strong presence across Asset Management, Equity, Wealth Management, Insurance etc., is committed in serving the financial needs of its retails and corporate customers. With previous experience as a software developer in an Asset Management Company working for the 3rd largest AMC in India, ABCL would enhance my knowledge in the industry. It is a USD 40 billion Indian multinationals in the league of Fortune 500 operating in 36 countries across the globe with 50 per cent of its revenues flowing from its overseas operations. Hence, it would provide me a global exposure to all the economies.
