When coming to the hostels for us, there are six hostels built as of now, one for girls and 5 for boys. The hostels are called as ‘Clusters.’ These hostels are equipped with all the basic facilities such as a microwave oven, induction stove, refrigerator, washing machine, and clothes drying stand. Apart from that, hostel rooms are air-conditioned, and each room has Wi-Fi and LAN ports for a comfortable living. Most of the rooms have a breath-taking mountain view from large windows. Students who get these rooms are regarded as lucky. To make the stay more comfortable for everyone, there are special bathrooms for differently abled students. These hostels will be ‘Home’ for the two transformational years of any students’ journey.
Students gather near the mess area, sit on the stairs, study and gossip for hours. Many times, people sit in silence watching the scenic mountains covered by clouds during the rainy and winter seasons. There is a television room, on the way from the hostels to the academic block. Sports enthusiasts gather there to watch football and cricket matches. For midnight carvings, there is a night canteen open which serves the variety of dishes within an affordable budget for students. There is no problem of transportation to the city from the campus as there is a shuttle service at a scheduled time.
Which ABG company would I want to work for and why?
If given an opportunity, I would like to work in Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail sector. With a strong inclination towards fashion industry and after doing some fashion stints and with some good knowledge about this industry, I believe this would be one of the area of interest for me. With globalization, Indian population is becoming more fashion aware and with the increasing disposable income, people prefer to spend more on ready-to-wear clothing. I can apply the management skills and frameworks learnt during these 2 years at the premium institute ‘IIM Udaipur’ to the fashion industry.
