IMT Ghaziabad is counted amongst India’s top management institutes, and is one of the oldest business schools in the country. The institute is known for its 2-year flagship Post Graduate Diploma In Management programme, which is equivalent to an MBA. It is also known as one of India’s top Marketing campuses. However, Marketing is not the only specialisation that IMT Ghaziabad offers. IMT offers the following specialization tracks that will make the PGDM students ready for their industry of choice:

Selection Criteria

Applicants for all IMT PGDM and MBA programs must have a minimum three-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum 50 percent aggregate marks in any discipline. Applicants who are appearing for the final-year degree examination can also apply, subject to submission of all mark sheets and pass certificate to IMT’s Academic Program office at a later date. Failing to do so will result in admission being cancelled.


To be eligible for IMT Ghaziabad’s selection process, a candidate must be registered for CAT 2019 or XAT 2020 OR have taken/taking the GMAT (January 1, 2016 – February 28, 2020). In the case of the candidates applying on the basis of GMAT and score is not provided, processing of application will be provisional, subject to IMT receiving the official GMAT score on or before March 15, 2020.

Courses Offered

1. Post Graduate Diploma In Management (PGDM)

IMT Ghaziabad offers the 2-year flagship PGDM programme, which is a full-time residential programme equivalent to an MBA.

The 2-year PGDM programme is split into eight terms, with the first four terms comprising a generalist management curriculum, and the latter four terms comprising of one of the six specialisation tracks that IMT offers to its PGDM students. The following are the six specialisation tracks:

  1. Marketing Management
  2. Finance Management
  3. Human Resource Management
  4. Information Management and Analytics
  5. Operations Management and
  6. Strategy, Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
