Marketing Intern, Luxottica
With a background of working in the event industry and closely associated with the advertisement industry, I have spent close to 2.5 years strengthening my foundation for a career in Brand Management. Hence, when I heard the announcement of Luxottica coming to campus for internship recruitment on Day Zero, it was nothing short of music to the ears. I began to prepare myself for the interview by focusing on the most important document which sets pace for one’s candidacy - my resume. I listed out my most relevant projects through which I had propelled brands in the region to reach more eyeballs and gain viral traction among the target audience. Next, I moved on to prepare for the most daunting and crucial phase, which was personal interviews. With the help of peers, seniors, and industry acquaintances, I coached myself to confidently face questions around HR basics, general awareness, and subject matter expertise. I worked relentlessly on the feedback I received on my areas of improvement, and always sought constructive criticism with utmost optimism. As a result of my endeavours, combined with zeal towards building a successful career in Brand Management, I was able to conduct myself positively in the final interview, and came out with flying colours

When I learnt that future group was coming to our campus for summer internship, I immediately kickstarted my preparation by doing an extensive research about the company. I instantly connected to its culture, consumer-centric business model and the way it values its employees.
