IIM Indore offers numerous courses on various fields of management and courses for skill development. There are three courses which are unique to IIM Indore. Those three courses are Industry Interface Programme, the Rural Immersion Programme and Himalayan Outbound Programme. Industry Interface Programme provides a unique opportunity to first-year MBA students to gain the industry exposure. In this course, students go to industry and try to solve specific problems faced by an organization. Rural Immersion Programme is conducted with Madhya Pradesh Government where students stay at villages and try to solve the problems faced by Indian rural population. Himalayan Outbound Programme usually takes place in November. In this course students go to a Himalayan expedition to hone their team building skills.
Campus
IIM Indore campus is also known as Planet-I among the student community. Planet-I is near Rau, roughly 20 kilometres away from Indore. The campus is situated on a hill. At the top of the hill is academic and administration block and as you descend down the hill you will find various student residences. The campus has two auditoriums, two gyms, tennis court, Olympic size swimming pool, cricket stadium, badminton courts. The campus also has various student-run food ventures and a grocery shop. The 194 acres of campus is mostly covered in trees. Therefore, you will find biodiversity inside the campus. Planet-I is home to numerous birds.
Which ABG company I want to work for?
I would like to work for Aditya Birla Retail Limited. There are 523 More Quality 1st Supermarkets and 20 More Megastores which are spread nationwide. It started its operation in 2007 with the acquisition of Trinethra Super Retail and expanded geographically. Today Aditya Birla Retail Limited is among the top three retail chains in India. ABRL has constantly focused on the quality of products and services it offered to provide customer satisfaction. This is evident in its large customer base. Club More has 20 million members, which uses marketing analytics to offer customized offers. ABRL also has its own brands in various FMCG segments. I would like to work in the FMCG or Retail industry after completing MBA. Aditya Birla Retail Limited would be perfect for it as it has a retail operation as well as its own brands. This will provide a great learning opportunity for me.
