Do you know what makes or breaks an aspirant's XLRI dream? The confusing Decision-Making section! With the CAT 2024 result released recently and SNAP tests concluding, XAT is the next major management exam to focus on. The Decision Making section is unique to XAT and candidates have not prepared for it in any other MBA entrance. This makes them fret about the Decision Making but in contrast, this section can push your overall percentile to the top, helping you achieve the cutoffs for XLRI Jamshedpur, XLEI-Delhi, and other top institutes.
To help the MBA aspirants and our InsideIIM community, we have launched a free XAT course focusing on the Decision Making section. As you register here for XAT 2025 Goldmine, you will get access to 10 recorded Decision Making Masterclasses, 2 XAT Specific Quant videos, and Mocks: Previous Year Questions as full-length mocks and additional sectionals for XAT DM and GK created separately from PYQs.

XAT Decision Making 2025: Tips to answer the DM section
Option elimination is often the best way to sail through this section instead of choosing the best one. Here are some things to consider before you answer the DM sets:
- Take care of the important words-Trusted, Dissuade, May. A few words are specifically meant to trick the mind. Write these keywords as you go on with the set.
- Sometimes, all the options will seem inappropriate. The aim should be to eliminate the worst and choose the best.
- A standard rule: The customer is king. Choose options that do not devalue them.
- Do not choose extreme options or the ones that devalue your competition or demean someone.
- Stick to the motto, values, and policies of the company.
