Ajeya Shriganesh: Ajeya is born and brought up in Bengaluru and has not spent a lot of time outside Karnataka. He is a graduate in production engineering from BMS College of Engineering. He is, undoubtedly, one of the most creative people of our batch. His quizzing skill is out of the world and it amazes me to see how he can retain the crazy amount of information in his brain. Very passionate about quizzing, one of his main objective in IIM Trichy is to get a podium finish in Nihilant (the IIT-IIM grand quiz competition). Besides, he is also interested in philosophy and football (He is an avid AC Milan fan; now a rare species). He is interested in marketing and feels that he can make a difference with his out-of-the-box ideas. He interned with Godrej and worked in marketing and sales of farm fresh chicken.
Shrutarshi Mukherjee: Also known as Shru, he is born and brought up in Kolkata. He is known for his prowess in statistics. He is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from Jadavpur University and has worked two years in IBM. He was unfortunate to miss out on the Director Merit List announced recently. What I find crazy is the contrast been his GPA and the number of hours he puts in studies. He interned with RBI in Chennai. He habitually makes memes of people in the campus. He is one of the very few people I know who follows Indian football. He is also an avid traveller and has been to almost all states of India. Given his strength with numbers, he is more inclined to go into the analytics domain.
Ankur Shrivastava: Ankur has spent most of his life in Bhopal and Hyderabad. A very strict taskmaster, he expects his team-mates to work with the same vigour as him. He is so passionate about what he does and is highly disappointed when someone is not in the same wavelength. He is a graduate in Electronics Engineering from Lakshmi Narain College of Technology Bhopal with 45 months work experience in TCS. He worked in the field of data warehousing and has significant knowledge about it. Besides, he also plays as an all-rounder in the college cricket team. He interned with Deloitte in Bengaluru and impressed them with his hardworking and never-give-up attitude.
Indranil Saha : Born and brought up in Kolkata, he is one of the best “smart-workers” of the batch. He is a graduate from Calcutta Institute of Engineering and Management in electronics engineering. He has worked in TCS for around two and a half years. His ability to communicate with everyone has helped him build a great network, which we only aspire. He spends a huge chunk of time only social media and was especially active on Pagalguy to help the aspirants this year. Indranil has participated in an innumerable number of competitions during the first year of the programme and won a few of them as well. He also bagged a summer internship in LG He knows what his priorities are and works hard to achieve that goal. Apart from all this he is an avid food lover.
Which ABG company would you want to work for and why?
I want to work in the Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited. I want to work in operations of one of the huge brands like Louis Philippe, Van Heusen, Allen Solly, Peter England, People, Pantaloons, etc. One of the most difficult task in the apparel industry is forecasting the demand. The product life cycle is small and the trends change quickly. So the inventory needs to move quickly. Also selling in-house brands through the retail chains like Pantaloons will lead to higher profits. This would be both challenging and fascinating job profile. Furthermore, it would be great to be a part of one of the biggest conglomerates across the globe.
