VARC is one of the most scoring section. But most scoring is not equivalent to being the easiest. A lot of people struggle with this section because of Reding Comprehensions (RCs), Inferences, Para jumbles, time constraints, lack of reading habit etc. Here are some must-read blogs that will help you for VARC in CAT 2020:
  1. A Comprehensive VA-RC Preparation Strategy For CAT - Tips From A VA-RC 99.95 Percentiler
This article is a detailed guide on how to approach this section, but to save your time, I'll advise you to go through only the second half of the article that talks about the strategies and the Golden rule of the order of attempt.
  2. How I Took My Score From 70 Percentile To 99 Percentile In The VA-RC Section of CAT
There are a lot of things you can pick up from this one. This article has a lot of depth into how to analyze your mock tests and it's definitely helpful for anyone who wants to improve their score in the last 30 days of CAT 2020. It not only covers what you can do for the VARC section but also in brief about how to prepare yourself mentally for the D-Day.
  3. 5 Steps To Improve Your VA-RC Percentile | CAT 2020
Follow the PRAPS strategy: Patience, Reading, Analysis, Practice, Solve! - explained briefly in this article. Apart from that, there are also a few more tips that will help you immensely in solving your RCs. I recommend you to follow this and see how it goes for you. :)
  4. 70%ile To 99+%ile In The VA Section In 60 Days - An Engineer's Journey
Even if we half the time, we can still make the most of it, right? This blog talks precisely about that. This article will help you not only with the Reading speed, comprehension, elimination strategy and attempting strategy, but will also help you get the maximum ROTI! (Read the blog to know what ROTI is)
  5. 7 Crucial Tips To Crack The VA-RC Section From A VA-RC 100 Percentiler
This is another must-read, not just because it talks about a topper (100%iler) but also because it talks about other important stuff that you should focus on during your preparation (like resting well, meditation etc.). Also, it's a small one, so it won't take much of your precious time. As rightly said by the author: "The trick to solving the VARC section is elimination. While analysing, don't focus on why is the right answer right, but figure out why is the wrong answer wrong. That makes all the difference."

Do apply your learnings and experiment with some of these tips in the upcoming 4-5 mock tests. Find out what works the best for you and build on that. Even if some of the tips aren't applicable for CAT, you can use them in other exams. The scope is immense. It all depends on your preparation. :)
