Being a working professional and preparing for CAT was never going to be easy. I am sure everyone who has some work experience and then prepared for CAT would definitely relate with me. You have your job, your project going on which includes endless assignments, late night shifts, client calls, deadlines, targets to be met and what not that you have to go through each day. And after a hectic day at work when you reach your home late and want to take a bit rest, you see all the other students marching ahead of you, preparing rigorously and scoring better in the mocks.
This is the time when you start doubting yourself and your abilities. You get the slightest thought of whether you really want to go for MBA. Many people seem to lose their confidence and may even change their plan citing that both office and preparation can’t go hand in hand. But they fail to understand that this is what management is. You need to manage yourself, your work, your time so that you don’t miss out. This is what I did during my preparation along with my office work. Instead of getting disheartened, I took these as challenges and fought even stronger. Taking small steps each day by having an eye on my goal and believing in myself helped me in cracking CAT with a good enough percentile.

Once CAT scores are declared, you start your preparations for GD PI, the most essential part in the selection procedure, which decides the fate of all your hard work in the last 1 year. Amidst all the preparations, the anxiety, the stress, finally the D- Day of my interview arrived. I still remember waking up early that day to have a final look into the notes that I had prepared. The level of anxiety I had was quite palpable to my family members who were constantly asking me to relax. But nothing helped at that moment.
