ABG - A Part And Parcel Of Our Lives | Sushree Lasyamayee, IIM Ranchi

But the journey doesn’t end here. Once CAT scores are declared, you start your preparations for GD PI, the most essential part in the selection procedure, which decides the fate of all your hard work in the last 1 year. Amidst all the preparations, the anxiety, the stress, finally the D- Day of my interview arrived. I still remember waking up early that day to have a final look into the notes that I had prepared. The level of anxiety I had was quite palpable to my family members who were constantly asking me to relax. But nothing helped at that moment. But when I finally got ready and wore my Allen Solly formal wear (exclusively bought for this interview), I started feeling positive. When you wear something that completes your look, you start feeling good about yourself. You start gaining confidence which ultimately gives you an edge over others. I am sure all the B-School grads and even office goers would certainly have come across Louis Philippe, Van Heusen, Allen Solly or Peter England while choosing a set of business formals and would have not been disappointed in any way. Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail Ltd. (ABFRL) also takes care of my other fashionable desires with various brands such as Forever 21 and then it also has India’s Favorite Family Fashion Destination, Pantaloons,which caters to every customer’s needs by providing the latest trends in fashion and clothing, that too within the budget. This is the reason why I personally connect with ABFRL the most.

Aditya Birla, an Indian multinational conglomerate, has expanded its wings into banking, fashion, mining, chemicals, cement, financial services, and telecom and is doing equally good in all the sectors. It is currently the third largest Indian private sector conglomerate in terms of revenue. It has its mark in all the spheres around us. We get up from bed and look at wall made from Birla Ultratech cement. We get ready for office by putting on the apparel may be Peter England, Van Heusen, and Louis Philippe etc. from Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail Ltd. (ABFRL). You have a look at your smartphone and the network that connects you is Vodafone Idea Ltd. You go to your workplace in the car with the tyres from Birla Carbon Ltd. So knowingly or unknowingly, it has become a part and parcel of our lives. This is how BIG it is. There is this big dream, big drive, big team, big leader and big risk behind the success of Aditya Birla Group and this keeps me inspired.
