Part A: At the age of 8, my father took me shopping for clothes. We were in the nearby Peter England showroom. The shopping was supposed to be done for my father and while he was looking at shirts, I sat on a chair with a blank expression. Suddenly my father had an idea. I never had worn shirts or jeans ever. I always wore T-shirts and shorts. At first I was uncomfortable as it was totally new for me and also as a kid I hated trying on clothes while shopping. At the end we bought two pairs of shirts and jeans for me.         It might sound insignificant to many, but this memory is still as fresh as the first bloom in spring. It was a bonding moment for me with my father and a moment to cherish my whole life. And the invisible hero in the story was definitely Aditya Birla Group. Which not only has played a part in this story but a lot of others from childhood to the present day.       My father is a Civil Engg. and due to him I chose to pursue B. Tech in civil engineering. One memorable ad was of Ultra Tech cement. 'The Engineer's choice' was a tag line that could never be forgotten. As a child I wondered if my father, who was a civil engineer, chose Ultra Tech Cement as well. When I asked him, he told me how it is of the best quality and definitely he chooses that. I too grew up to become a civil engineer and those words didn't get old but were still afresh. As a Civil Engineer I also chose Ultra Teh cement. Again ABG was a silent hero creating amazing memories and bonding between me and my father. Everything in this world get old but there are memories like these that last forever. Part B: During my third year of college, I faced some serious health issues. A lot of which impacted directly on my academics and self confidence. Due to the low scores I received I felt worthless. I felt unlucky and became very pessimistic towards everything. The health issues didn't improve easily. And all this made me more and more hopeless. One day while sitting alone in my room wondering about my future, a friend walked in with a bhajan playing in his phone for Lord Krishna. I personally find myself not religious or spiritual at all, but Geeta has always fascinated me. As cheesy as it may sound the song immediately reminded me of the teachings Lord Krishna gave to Arjun. Somehow I was able to relate it my condition and realized how I should not think about the future and consequences but focus on my duty and work accordingly. Slowly I was able to overcome my fears and longings and was able to improves my academics by the end of my college. I started reading Bhagwad Geeta more seriously and the teachings became the part of me ever since. There was a time I had given up on life and was always worried about future and blaming myself, luck and a lot of irrelevant things. When I started focusing more on my duties and things that actually mattered, I was not only able to perform better but was more confident and happy about everything. My whole perspective about life changed drastically and for good.
