Aditya Birla Group has successfully managed to live up to its vision of always being big in one’s lives by adding purpose and value to millions of lives globally. I am proud to be one among those million people who has had the privilege to enjoy the benefits of their contribution to fashion, telecom and means to bridging impossible distances and shaping dreams. I would like to share about my addiction to shopping trendy clothes at reasonable price. This is where ABG comes to my rescue as I enjoy the whole experience of having multiple options to try on at Pantaloons and it is the credit of the brand when a customer is in love with most of the options and returns home with more than the intended quantity. My personal favorite brand, FOREVER 21, is the biggest gift to me by ABG. In the limited personal time I have in my life of an MBA, I can rush to the retail stores of FOREVER 21 without randomly wasting my time looking out for other brands as be it for any occasion, there has always been a sure shot winner to pick. To add to that, there is the unbreakable bond of 13 years of my family with Vodafone and Idea as no matter where we are, the trust on their network availability that we laid years back has never been shaken. The value of these group of brands resonates in my entire family. My father was hell bent on using the best of the best cement for the dream house he built, and his first choice in this quest was Ultra Tech Cement because he believed in an investment that lasts longer, and not one that spurts and fades. So, this is how Aditya Birla Group has left its mark on our lives and continues to do so because a brand that has won our trust over and over again is worth our loyalty.
The story of me turning over a new leaf
When the going gets tough, the tough gets going- a real life experience enlightened me to the worth of this popular proverb. I was working for an IT company after graduation and leading a very carefree life where my father was my solution to all problems. It was not long back that I had shared with him that I would quit the company after working for a year to pursue MBA to which he gave his full support. But then tables turned and I lost the sole decision maker in my life, my father. That was the turning point in my life. I realized that I need to develop such strength and courage in me that, even if I am the last person on the face of Earth, still I should strive with all my might to come out alive from all the hardships without faltering. We cannot have a shield protecting us forever. We need to be prepared to be independent and self-sufficient if the situations are not in our favor. I decided to hold on to the job till there isn’t enough stability in my family. I relentlessly worked for the company due to which I received manager’s choice award in all the three years. During this phase, I challenged all the barriers that posed a hindrance to my dream. Time didn’t permit to go for classes to prepare for MBA entrance exams so I did my preparation through online means and that is how XIMB happened. The sheer dedication to fulfill my dream, my sense of responsibility that I felt after my father’s demise and my never dying spirit helped me overcome the challenges in the path of my ambitions.
