Aditya Birla group is the prestigious symbol for Indian multinational conglomerate industries, which has made the most significant impact on a worldwide stage. It has a wide range of operations with revenue of US$44.3 billion, operating in 35 countries with more than 120,000 employees worldwide. It has a remarkable vision for Corporate social responsibilities (CSR) is to actively contribute to the social and economic development of the communities, in doing so they build a better, sustainable way of life of the weaker sections of society. ABG leaves great footprints in billions of people around the world so does in mine.
Most of my day-to-day activities are linked with ABG.
Firstly, ABG’s telecom Idea cellular which completed its merger with Vodafone and thereby became the largest telecom company in terms of revenue and subscribers. I’m an idea user from the last 3 years. Initially, I’m not an "Idea" customer but I ported my previous SIM to Idea it gives a good network. I believe it plays one of the most essential parts of my everyday life.
Secondly, being an MBA student, I often use formal wear and business formals. All my formal clothing purchased are from ABG’S companies like Van Heusen, Allen Solly.
Third, Ultratech cement has been a solid backbone for the construction of our house and textile showroom.
Apart from these ABG also immense impact on our culture. It has established many Birla temples in India with aesthetic architectural designs. ABG has engaged in impactful, welfare driven activities in India and globally. It has extended hands to villages, hospitals, and education. This brings smiles on billions of faces across the globe.
This is how the Aditya Birla Group is big in my life.
Overcome challenges to achieve my ambitions in life.
Life is something that is much more complex than anyone can imagine. Everyone faces various obstacles and challenges in each phase of their lives. I strongly believe facing challenges make us stronger and without them, life becomes somewhat meaningless.
I faced challenges in many forms during each stage of my life, from schooling to post-graduation.
April 2010, four days before the 10
th board exams, I’m affected with chickenpox. It can cause serious complications and even death and it is also contagious. It’s a big question to attempt the exams or not. Finally, I decided to take the test instead of losing a valuable one year.
I spoke to my school administration and discussed my situation; they suggested me not to take the risk as I have no energy to stretch myself for three long hours. Because of my never give up attitude, management has helped me in arranging a separate room and scribe for writing my answers. Eventually, I scored 9.6 CGPA, second highest in the district in CBSE. This is when I realized how important for one not to lose confidence when the situation is out of woods.
I don’t believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and if they can’t find them, make them. I believe in greater the obstacles, the more glory in overcoming it.
