Aditya Birla group is the third largest Indian private sector conglomerate, headquartered in Worli , Mumbai, which operates in 35 countries with more than 120,000 employees worldwide. ABG started of its business in the town of pilani , by trading cotton. The expansion of ABG from such humble beginnings to a driving force in the Indian business sector, shows the hard-work and perseverance put in by them. ABG has always inspired me to think big and believe in the fact that, if you work to the best of your ability for something ,you will definitely able to achieve your objective. ABG has had an influence in my life in one way or other knowingly or unknowingly. The biggest factor that sets ABG apart from other companies is its diversity. ABG is the true representation of India’s diverse culture, since it offers a wide range of products and services from the manufacturing sector to the agricultural sector. ABG had shown me the importance of creativity and innovation in business, since it offers a wide spectrum of products from clothing to telecom services and they never stop create something new which solves a problem faced by the customer. There is zero chance that an Indian citizen has not used a product offered by ABG .It serves the needs of people from all walks of life. For over 50 years now, the Aditya Birla Group have been and continue to be involved in meaningful, welfare driven initiatives that distinctively impact the quality of life of the rural poor .ABG is a company that has taught me the importance of sustainable development and it is an inspiration and a role model for all the MBA students including me who aspire to start their own business.PART-2
We evolve as a better human being through the challenges that we face in our lives. Challenges always help us to learn something new ,there is a famous saying that goes like this ,”There is no scope for improvement once we stop challenging ourselves”. We would never had a landmark invention like that of the bulb , if Thomas Alva Edison had stopped trying while facing the challenges that he had to go through. Like every human being in this world ,I also had to face many challenges in my life that had shaped my personality and my outlook towards life. From my childhood days I had a strong interest for football. I was part of the school and college football team and I was also part of an A division football club. During the fourth year in my college ,I suffered a serious injury on my right ankle during an inter college football tournament and the doctor recommended me to stop play football as it was a serious injury. Thinking about the fact that I won’t be able to play again affected me mentally. I decided not to give up easily. I started consulting different doctors and interacted with players who had faced similar kind of injuries .I developed a treatment plan to strengthen and heal my ankle. Through five months of intensive treatment, rest and strengthening exercises ,I was able to recover from the injury and I am still continuing my passion of playing football .Going through this phase , reinforced a never give up attitude in me and it had made me mentally stronger. #IIMBG #ABGWOO
