The 15
th Aditya Birla Group Scholarships were announced and Apurva Jain from IIM Shillong is among the proud Aditya Birla Group Scholarship awardees this year. This is the third consecutive time that a student from IIM Shillong has been awarded the prestigious Aditya Birla Group Scholarship.
The final event was held at ITC Grand in Mumbai from September 20, 2013 to September 22, 2013. In a 3 day evaluation program, 31 students selected across nine top B-School campuses in India were continuously judged on various parameters. Among these 31 students, 15 were finally adjudged as Aditya Birla Group Scholars for the year 2013. Apurva Jain, a first year student of IIM Shillong who has received the prestigious scholarship says, “I am glad to have made my institute proud by carrying on the legacy of my seniors. It was a great experience to be part of the process, as I got a lot of exposure as well as an opportunity to network with not only the students from the top B-Schools of the country but also with the top executives from the Aditya Birla Group.”
Aditya Birla Group Scholarship programme was instituted in 1999 to provide an excellent opportunity for the scholars to learn by networking with top executives of the country's first truly global conglomerate.
The awardees receive the scholarship after continuous evaluation of their performance in their respective institutes. In addition to the scholarship, the scholars are also given an excellent opportunity to work with Aditya Birla Group in their summer internship program.
The Aditya Birla Scholarship eligibility criteria is restricted to top 25% of students from top B-Schools in India including IIM A, IIM B, IIM C, IIM I, IIM K, IIM L, IIM S and XLRI- Jamshedpur in the management domain. (You can find names of all 15 winners
