Building India Incorporation is the annual Business symposium of Department of Management Studies, IIT Delhi. BII is the stage which showcases and appreciates the contribution of corporate India towards the amelioration of the Indian economy and holistic evolution of Management thought. Through its uniquely chartered schedule, BII is an attempt to synergize the intellects from Government, corporate and academia to deliberate on issues from the contemporary business environment. With active participation from corporate stalwarts, faculty from leading institutions and students from top B- Schools, BII is an excellent opportunity to seek insights into the issues and challenges besetting the nation and the corporate world.

Year after year, BII has set benchmarks for raising topics of contemporary relevance and addressing them amidst the larger audience. With this tremendous legacy of tickling the dragon, BII ’15 was triggered on similar high notes and the podium was lit ablaze with intriguing and enlightening panel discussions and keynote sessions. The diverse audience comprising of students from multitudinous backgrounds, esteemed alumni, revered faculties and guests were all ears to two days of enriching intellectual and eclectic views on contemporary topics like the ‘Make in India’ campaign, ‘Is awareness the missing link’, ‘Talent economy’ and ‘Online Retail to online marketplace’. Besides the intuitive discussions, BII is also a stage for the budding entrepreneurs who get a chance to testify their ‘B-Plans’ and win a chance to realize it.

Having had a firsthand experience at BII’15, I can vouch how splendid an opportunity it is to the management students at DMS to conceive, create and carry out a fully fledged event on a subject of their interest as well as a stage to interact with distinguished practitioners from the field. This act of physically interacting with stalwarts of the industry and mavericks of the trade is undisputedly a motivating and thought cleansing experience for the students.
