To just give a brief about me, after I completed my engineering in 2013 I have been working in IT industry for 4.5 year. Right from my childhood, I was always being underestimated by my peers. Be it in school, college or in the companies. I would always concentrate of the task at hand and would give my 100% hard work and commitment to complete it. When I excel in my position, all those who underestimated my would get to know what I’m really capable of and would appreciate me.
When I checked the prospects and growth of all the IIMs, my eye got stuck on IIM Trichy as I was amazed by the way they are growing every year. The students of this college have been outperforming many other students of other more reputed colleges of India in many aspects. Be it in securing best offers in Summer and Final Placements, in extra-curricular activities, in cultural events they are seen everywhere doing their best to represent their college and take it to new heights. The pedagogy and faculty of this college has also been an aspect which gives you a sense of understanding of how professional, vibrant and diverse culture they have. The college has faculty who have done their PhDs, fellowships and have exclusive business experience across domains. Also, the faculty uses real-time experience in their teachings which helps students to be on their toes for their future endeavours. The academic rigor and vibrant campus life goes hand in hand. The infrastructure the campus provides stands out of all other IIMs in India. The spellbound amenities, which I saw in the website lured me more towards it. The classrooms, hostel rooms, mess and other places are fully air-conditioned with robust and high-speed internet facility. The LRC, learning and research center is one of its kind libraries was a treat to eyes where students can have all the facilities that are needed while they gain knowledge.
I followed the IIM Trichy in a couple of social networking sites and I could see the kind of fests that are being conducted by students every year. It shows how vibrant and informative they are. Some of them are Dhurva – National Level Academic & Cultural Fest, where students from many reputed B-schools visit this event to showcase and exchange the knowledge they have. Not only that, the cultural event of this fest is one of famous event where international celebrities like Sunburn have given performances.
They have been actively conducting entrepreneurship summits where prominent guests where addressing the future CEOs and giving their valuable insights. The Sangram, which is an inter South IIM sports meet where four IIMs located in South India, participate together to bring glory to their college.
With all these that IIM Trichy has, I could relate to this college to myself which is though in its budding stage has a lot to prove for itself and to the world. All those who think that IIM Trichy is still a new IIM and has still got a lot of years to come to at least considerate, will soon be able to see it in the top and would change their opinion, once and for all. I wanted to join this college not only to gain a good career by having an IIM tag but also would like to contribute with all my efforts and make sure that whatever aspect IIMs are being judged, IIM Trichy will stand out of it. Also, once I start my professional career, I would still like to contribute to the IIM Trichy and the tag that I carry with all the good and appreciable work that I do and I’m pretty confident about it.
Which ABG company would you want to work for and why?
Out of so many groups that Aditya Birla has, I wish to work in ADITYA BIRLA RETAIL LIMITED (ABRL), where the food and groceries are being sold through Supermarkets and Hypermarkets called More. I choose this sector because it is very much near one of my goal, which is to do something good and beneficial to the farmers of India. I would have the chance to work closely with the whole supply chain and garner the good will of farmers while retaining the profits to the company. It would give me immense please and satisfaction where you will be paid to live your dream.
