ABG has expanded to the extent of being present in every single aspect of our life. From the clothes we wear (Retail Clothing Stores) to the houses we live in (UltraTech Cement), ABG has a strong foothold in most sectors including Telecom as well. The incorporation of Grasim Industries Ltd on 25th August 1947, just 10 days after India finally became an independent nation, laid down a path for the ABG of the future to bring about a change in the Industrial Sector in India. All my life, I have been using Services & Products manufactured by ABG sometimes not even realizing that the products were made by ABG. One of my favourite clothing stores is Peter England, also owned by ABG. ABG is more deeply ingrained in my daily life than I can possibly imagine. ABG has had a huge impact on the society as a whole as well through its CSR activities – providing midday meals at schools, immunisation programs, skill training, etc. The number of lives ABG has touched including mine, and the scope of it all is close to impossible to quantify. ABG has created a reputation for itself in the market/industry of being a corporation that gives back to society and one which people can trust.
ABG today has become a Rs 2.45 trillion Corporation with many group companies among the Fortune 500 list and even then it has stayed true to its roots and worked for improving the quality of life for people in rural India and provide different opportunities to them.
